Chidrens Books

I saw the movie Beatrix Potter starring Renee Zellweger and LOVED it. It really made me think of a few things. Since I home school and we are starting a new program and I was looking for an author to study first for the kids. I thought she would be a fun one to start with; not only did she write and illustrate amazing children's books, she also was a mycologist. That is the studies of fungi and her drawing were the first in the field. However she was not noted for them, because she was a woman. However an apology was given to her in the 1990's its too bad she died in the 1940's. I really think the kids will enjoy reading her tales of Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck and many more from her 23 books! I really love days when I receive inspiration for my children and what I am to be teaching them.

I vote for Roahl Dahl. He has my sense of humor. Emma is reading Witches right now and can't put it down. Also, AA Milne's books were first letters home to his kids. I can see that similarity in your blog, but then you've always been the writer!
