Thanksgiving in August!

Well last week when I went grocery shopping, I saw this fresh turkey and for some reason I had this crazy thought I would make a mock thanksgiving dinner. You know, stove top turkey dressing, canned yams, canned cranberries, canned corn, mash potatoes and gravy (total sodium dinner). You get the picture. Boy did I have a happy family. You would of thought I spent all day cooking. They were all quiet while they were munching. They enjoyed it so much. It made my all my mother warm fuzzies stand up and say good job! I love being a wife and a mother!
Till tomorrow!

I can't believe you did that! Two weeks ago I was cleaning out the freezer in the garage and came across a turkey I got for free at Christmas. So I cooked it up for a Sunday roast and then we ate off of it for about a week. I still have the wings and thighs for soup. That is just tooooo weird. Talk about kindred spirits!

Ha. I've had turkey on the brain lately too. What a great idea.

My son was JUST begging for a turkey dinner the other day. Maybe I'll be a nice mom like you. You've inspired me.

Oh, sure... have a lovely, sit-down dinner like that and don't invite ME! Fine. Be that way.

:P

(Just kidding! You know I love ya!)
