Top 10 of 2008

I'm going to post the top ten things that happened to me this year. Not all are happy, some actually aren't happy at all, but some are more then wonderful!

10. Started a new job at the sister club of the Venetian, The Palazzo....

9. Started a blog!

8. My Dad passed away March 28. It was so sad...I still cry! But his life had a purpose and his after life is having purpose and we are witnessing this in our family.

7. I fell at work on the 21st of April and began work mans comp, what an ordeal. They had no idea what was wrong with me...I kept telling them my arm hurt, no one was listening!

6. June, we took an amazing trip to California. The boys went to the U.S open and saw Tiger Woods. Steve bought tickets for a year to Disneyland! Had a wonderful time with the Cathie's, they are always so kind to us when we visit! We also snuck away in October and stayed with Teri and Mike!

5. Went to a new Dr. and in August after 4 months of physical therapy he said SURGERY. However I would have wait until Sept 10. He was going to Beijing as one of 4 orthopedic surgeons to fix all those Olympic athletes. I figured I was in good hands!

4. I turned FIFTY!!!

3. Surgery.....6 weeks with a sling tied to my waist and sleeping in a recliner. Pretty much SUCKED!

2. Now this one would have been #1, but it changed Dec.26th.
I was able to stay home and not work since April 21st. I have enjoyed being home with my family and I will say so many good things have happened. I learned to manage my home, family prayers became a daily habit, reading nightly, and I cooked so much for my family, but the biggest thing that happened, I finally grew up! That comment, is a blog itself! Note to self!

1. This beats them all.....My 63 year old brother has accepted the gospel and was baptized December 26th.

It has been a GREAT Year and though you never know what will happen in the coming year, I do know this, I am surrounded by my family tonight and it doesn't get any better then that!

Happy New Year, all my loves!
