105' and a day of golf. a day of cleaning?

On Sunday, Steve called one of his favorite golf courses and found out that Ryan could play free and he was only 30 bucks. Well that scored big time with Steve. So today, the boys slept in and got up and went golfing. Only after I made sure that they both had adequate amounts of sun screen on them, took out the frozen Power Aids, frozen water, and water from the fridge. Then I kissed my boys, and I sent them on there giddy way.

Now while they were gone, I had high hopes to getting the house cleaned, but I did not jump to it. Well...... a bit later my nieces came by. Jili and Summer were quite happy to be playing American Girls and Jaci and I just chatted about all kinds of stuff. I like when Jaci isn't so..... o.k I have to say this when she isn't so bitchy...It is a warm welcome, but my guard is always up with her, she can change rather quickly.

To make this shorter the boys only played 4 hours and I didn't clean my house like I wanted to. But I did make a great spaghetti dinner and home made rolls, so all was not lost!

Sounds like a great day. The best days are the ones that go sideways! It will not matter in the end if you had a clean house but the memories both of your kids made that Sunday are priceless. You are my hero!

At 105 degrees, even making a homemade spagetti dinner is considered a MAJOR accomplishment in my book!

And great minds think alike, dearie...that's EXACTLY what I'm making tonight for dinner, too (and it's heading up to 90 degrees in Massachusetts today!). Maybe slow-cooking sauce is a necessary requirement when it gets so hot outside that you can fry an egg on the sidewalk?

Glad to hear your boys didn't come home with heatstroke! I still think they're nuts for going in the first place! :)
